SMDS had the great honor of designing this years Kitchen of the Year for House Beautiful Magazine! Originally built for Adolph Sutro in the 1920’s, these rooms offer stunning views of the San Francisco Bay and gardens to the east of the property. Because of the incredible light and views SMDS went for the high drama and elegance of  black cabinetry. We worked with materials that bounced and reflected light creating an elegant backdrop for food and entertainment.
